Bikesharing automated bicycle rental stations will be installed in Tashkent

The Transport Administration of the city of Tashkent announced that it plans to install a bicycle rental system as a pilot project, for renting a bicycle through automated stations installed in different parts of the city.

At the first stage, four Bike sharing points will be installed, the press service of the Transport Administration reports.

In addition, a preliminary project is under development for the organization of payment self-service terminals, bicycle parking, bicycle rental services using this system.

Currently, 12.4 km of public bicycle paths have been commissioned in Tashkent, the Office emphasizes. According to the general plan for the development of transport and road infrastructure, it is planned to create bicycle paths with a total length of 606 km in the capital.

The state structure noted that Tashkent residents can take an active part in the creation of a large project by sending their proposals through the feedback form on the organization's website.
