On September 9, a congress of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan took place, at which the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the work done in recent years and plans for the future.

At a meeting held at the International Congress Center, Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a presentation on the main directions of his election program, a new strategy of Uzbekistan.

About the results over the past 5 years:
- Within the framework of the country's development strategy for 2017-2021, more than 4,000 decrees and decisions have been adopted.
- Over the past five years, the economy of our country has grown by 24 percent, industry - by 34 percent, the volume of exports - 1.5 times, the volume of foreign investments - 3 times, the average monthly wage - 2.2 times.

Future goals:
- increase in GDP per capita by 1.6 times
- By 2030, increase per capita income to $ 4,000
- a radical change in labor efficiency due to the development of an economy based on science and innovation
- the volume of industrial production increases 1.4 times, and labor productivity - at least 2 times;
- the production of copper and other products will double and will produce products worth $ 8 billion
- increasing the level of natural gas processing from 8 to 20 percent
- an increase in the volume of the digital economy by at least 2.5 times and bringing it to 4 billion dollars
- highways will be 100 percent covered by mobile communications and the Internet
- the speed of the international backbone Internet will be increased 5 times, the speed of inter-district networks - 8 times.
