Chairwoman of the Senate met with representatives of the Board of the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation

Chairwoman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met on December 13 with the delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloglu. The delegation arrived in Uzbekistan to take part in the 15th CIS forum of creative and scientific intellectuals.

Prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Foundation, particularly strengthening multilateral ties in culture, science, education and other humanitarian spheres and implementation of joint projects in this direction were discussed during the meeting.

Senate Chairwoman Narbayeva stressed the need to effectively use the opportunities of intergovernmental structures of the CIS, especially the Interstate Fund for Cultural Cooperation, to further strengthen and expand the cultural and humanitarian cooperation for the benefit of our peoples.

Chairman of the Foundation's Board Pyotr Bülbüloglulu highlighted the reforms taking place in Uzbekistan and said he was witnessing cardinal changes taking place in all spheres, including cultural and humanitarian spheres. According to him, it is an evidence of the fact that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev pays great attention to science, culture and youth affairs.

Also, the sides exchanged views on establishing an ongoing dialogue between academic circles of the CIS member states.
