Cinemas in Russia are on the verge of closing

According to Interfax, in the next two to three months, half of the local cinemas in Russia may close completely.

America's largest film studios (Sony, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Company and Universal) have reportedly left the Russian market due to Western sanctions. After that, local films began to be shown in cinemas. However, their income has almost halved.

In particular, in March of this year, payments fell by 44%, and the number of viewers almost halved. Experts say that if the passivity continues in this way, no one will stay in cinemas until the summer.
