Citizens are no longer taken to the Department of Internal Affairs for identification

From January 1, 2023, the "Ye-patrol" system will be gradually introduced, and the practice of taking a citizen to the internal affairs department for identification will be abandoned.

All information is checked electronically and the activity of the patrol officer is recorded on the "body camera".

According to the regulation, employees can stop a citizen and determine their identity through identification documents or the "Ye-patrol" system in the following cases:

if there is reason to suspect that the person has committed a crime or offense or is wanted;
if a person can be considered to have information about a committed crime or offense;
if there are other legal grounds for detaining a person.
Also, when an employee terminates a person, he must explain the reasons and grounds for terminating him.
