Citizens, who have served a sentence of imprisonment, will be provided with material aid

The President approved a regulation on the procedure for issuing a "package of initial social and material assistance" to promote the social adaptation of citizens who have served a sentence of imprisonment.

The regulation establishes the procedure for providing a "package of initial social and material assistance" to promote the social adaptation of citizens who have served a sentence of imprisonment.

Aid money is given to each beneficiary once for the implementation of projects in areas such as entrepreneurship, architecture, crafts to help him social adaptation (in the amount of 10 times the minimum wage - 9 million 200 thousand UZS).

Aid money is given on the basis of the decisions of interdepartmental standing commissions considering this issue.

Beneficiaries submit an application with their project attached to the working body within 3 months after serving the sentence.

Preparation of a conclusion on the appropriateness of project financing is based on the following criteria:

Effectiveness and profitability of the entrepreneurship, architecture or craft activity you want to start;

Positive recommendation of the community assembly;

Poverty or loneliness;

Having a disabled or minor child under his/her care;

Having many (4 or more) children and needing financial support;

Living in non-residential areas.
