Control of vehicles and goods crossing the state border is being strengthened

Henceforth the control of vehicles and cargo at the state border crossing will be carried out by joint guards of customs agencies and border guards.

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 30.09.2022 № 555 "On amendments and additions to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 18.11.2019 № 912 "On further improvement of the organization of border, customs, sanitary-quarantine, phytosanitary control and veterinary surveillance at the state border crossing points of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted.

The document provides for clarification of certain concepts and fixation of new terms. Thus, the term "border inspection" is introduced - a complex of activities carried out by the State Border Troops of the State Security Service in order to detect persons hiding in vehicles and hidden in them goods, the transportation of which across the state border is prohibited.
