Cooperation with Caspian Energy Club and Uzbekistan

On November 24 this year, a meeting with the delegation of entrepreneurs - members of "Caspian Energy Club" headed by its chairman Telman Aliyev was held at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.

Prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed including joint implementation of investment projects in information and communication sector, pharmaceutical and textile industries. Azerbaijani side was informed of favorable conditions created in our country for foreign investors and expressed readiness to fully support their activity.

An agreement was reached on holding of regular conferences between Caspian Energy Club and Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Uzbekistan as well as on organizing the visit of delegations of IT companies and textile producers from Azerbaijan to elaborate issues on implementation of joint projects.

Issues of establishing information cooperation were discussed. In particular, an agreement on wide coverage of investment opportunities created in Uzbekistan in the journal Caspian Energy, which is represented in 19 countries with a circulation of 50-70 thousand copies, was reached.

Following the results of the meeting they expressed mutual interest in deepening bilateral cooperation and reached an agreement on opening Caspian Energy office in Tashkent due to increasing interest of business circles in the region in business opportunities in Uzbekistan.

Caspian Energy Club is a large regional organization uniting over 5000 companies and organizations from 50 countries all over the world working in the Caspian-Black Sea and Baltic regions. Official representative offices operate in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan.
