Cryptocurrency market falls after another tweet by Elon Musk

Bitcoin, like other cryptocurrencies, fell significantly in value on May 13 after Elon Musk announced that he would suspend accepting Bitcoin payments for Tesla products, three months after the introduction of such an option.

In a Twitter post, the Tesla CEO said he was concerned about "the rapidly growing use of fossil fuels for bitcoin mining and transactions." Bitcoin fell 15% on the news before recovering some of its losses.

Musk was a staunch supporter of cryptocurrency, and Tesla's addition to its $ 1.5 billion bitcoin balance was the most visible catalyst for digital currency growth this year.
