The construction of the town of Al-Khorezmi began

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 29 laid a capsule on the foundation of the construction of the town of Al-Khorezmi in Urgench.

"The fundamental ground of today's modern science, electronic discoveries, is associated with the unique scientific heritage of our grandfather Al-Khorezmi. We must not only be proud of this, but also deserve it. Therefore, we decided to build a separate town in Urgench, which bears the name of a great scientist,” said the head of our state.

This complex will be built near Urgench International Airport, in an area of more than 130 hectares. In front of the eyes of any person who falls from the plane, this beautiful place is manifested first of all. In the center of the town, a majestic statue of our Khorezm grandfather will be erected.

The main thing is that a new university named after Al-Khorezmi will be built here. A specialized school for talented children will be built under him. The young people who studied in them continue the traditions of our great ancestor, operating in the Centers of science, innovation and culture that will be built in the town.

There will also be technoparks and offices, medical, innovation and cultural centers, alleys, schools and kindergartens, sports complexes, parking, commercial and household buildings. 104 apartment buildings with 5 thousand apartments will be built. The facilities will be equipped on the basis of “smart technologies".

The head of our state congratulated the founders of the complex on the holiday of independence and wished them success in this responsible and honorable work.

After that, our president returned to Tashkent, completing his visit to Khorezm.
