Day of Uzbekistan will be hosted next year in Canada's Parliament

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Canada with residence in Washington D.C. Javlon Vakhabov held negotiations with representatives of the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa.

According to the Embassy, discussions were held with Ziyad Abuoltaif (Alberta), Chairman of the “Canada-Uzbekistan” Friendship Group in the House of Commons, Senator Victor Ox (Ontario) and Members of the Lower House Robert Oliphant (Ontario) and Rob Morrison (British Columbia). Also attending the meeting were members of the Office of Canadian Legislators Salma Ataullahjan, Chandra Arya and Michael Cooper.

During the meeting, issues of activating the work of inter-parliamentary friendship groups and expanding bilateral contacts between Uzbekistan and Canada, in particular the contingency of active exchange of delegations and thorough study of the experience of the two countries to improve the work of the legislature were discussed.
