December 9 - International Anti-Corruption Day

On December 9, 2003, the International Convention against Corruption was signed in Merida (Mexico) at the initiative of the United Nations.

In accordance with a resolution adopted at the 53rd session of the UN General Assembly in 2003, this day was declared International Anti-Corruption Day.

Today, all countries are conscious about the inadmissibility of corruption and the need to resist it. Measures are being taken around the world, including in Uzbekistan, to foster intolerant attitudes toward corruption in society and execute efficient anti-corruption tactics and approaches in order to eradicate this evil.
