Delegation of the Turkic Council held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzsta

On January 6, 2021, a meeting of the delegation of the Turkic Council headed by Deputy Secretary General Mirvohid Azimov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov took place in Bishkek.

A. Madmarov said that Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates the support that the Turkic Council and its member states have provided to Kyrgyzstan after the parliamentary elections on October 4 and subsequent period. He highlighted the visit of the Secretary General of the Turkic Council His Excellency Baghdad Amreev to Bishkek and his high-level meetings with the then Acting President His Excellency Sadyr Dzhaparov, Speaker of the Parliament His Excellency Kanatbek Isaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan His Excellency Ruslan Kazakbayev October 23-26, 2020 years as a strong expression of such support provided to Kyrgyzstan.

He also expressed satisfaction with the results of the visit of Minister R. Kazakbayev to Turkey, where he met with the Secretary General of the Turkic Council in Istanbul.

A. Madmarov assured of Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue to contribute to the development of the Turkic Council, as well as to the strengthening of productive cooperation between the Turkic-speaking states.

Deputy Secretary General M. Azimov noted that Kyrgyzstan, as one of the founders and an integral part of the Turkic world, from the very beginning of its activity made a significant contribution to the work of the Turkic Council with various initiatives and active participation. M. Azimov said that the Turkic Council will continue to support Kyrgyzstan in restoring the economy, improving the social sphere, and increasing the country's trade and transport potential. He also said that the upcoming elections and referendum will be a turning point for the stability, development and prosperity of brotherly Kyrgyzstan.

The parties discussed events that occupy an important place on the agenda of the Turkic Council, including, but not limited to, the upcoming informal summit of the Turkic Council, which is planned to be held in Kazakhstan, the city of Turkestan at the end of March 2021.

The international observation mission for the elections of the Turkic Council, composed of officials from the Secretariat of the Turkic Council and member states, has begun monitoring the early presidential elections and the referendum of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek.
