Delegation of Uzbekistan visit to Hungary - new page of cooperation

On 30 September during the visit of official delegation of Uzbekistan to Hungary, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev held negotiations with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary Levente Magyar.

Prospects of multilateral Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation in trade-economic, investment, science-technical and innovation spheres have been discussed during the meeting.

In particular, the sides discussed economic issues in the short and medium term, including new high-yield investment projects and trade agreements in such areas as agriculture, water-saving technologies, food processing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, automotive industry, textiles, chemistry and metallurgy, science, innovations and education.

Issues of industrial cooperation development, transport and logistics, interregional cooperation, as well as transformation and privatisation of state-owned enterprises and assets of Uzbekistan into Hungarian investment framework have been addressed in detail.

Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan-Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khojaev also met with leaders of leading Hungarian companies and banks such as Wizz Air, MasterGood, KITE, Eximbank, Raba to discuss opportunities for cooperation and implementation of joint investment projects.
