Dynamic development of multilateral cooperation with OSCE institutions

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov met with permanent representatives of the OSCE - M. Carpenter (USA), N. Bush (Great Britain), G. Brautigam (Germany) and C. Fages (France) on November 9, 2022.

The meeting focused on the status and prospects of co-operation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE, and ways to further intensify the organization's project activities in the country.

The sides noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of multilateral cooperation with OSCE institutions in all three areas of the organization's activities.

Particular attention has been paid at the meeting to the issues of expanding cooperation within OSCE on the implementation of joint projects in such areas as involvement of advanced technologies and innovations, development of green economy and mitigation of island construction.

The foreign delegation was provided with detailed information on the large-scale socio-political and socio-economic transformations taking place in the framework of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026.

The dialogue included an exchange of views on topical issues on the regional and global agenda.
