Election campaign of presidential candidates

On September 17, 2021, a regular meeting of the Central Election Commission took place. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Bahrom Kuchkarov.
The agenda of the meeting included issues of pre-election campaigning of candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, accreditation of observers from international organizations and foreign states participating in the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as accreditation of media representatives.
First, the members of the Commission considered the issue of pre-election campaigning of candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with Article 44 of the Electoral Code, pre-election campaigning begins on the day following the last day established for the registration of candidates. Campaigning on election day and the day before the start of voting is not allowed.
It is prohibited to conduct campaigning accompanied by the provision of goods and services (except information) to voters free of charge or on preferential terms, as well as the payment of funds. It is prohibited to disseminate false information, as well as information discrediting the honor and dignity of candidates.
