Elon Musk: Starlink Internet network has been launched on all continents

"The Starlink network is now operational on all continents, including Antarctica," Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, wrote on his Twitter page.

A day earlier, SpaceX launched the next batch of 54 Starlink satellites into orbit, the sixth launch of the devices since the beginning of the year. The total number of devices launched into space exceeds 3 thousand.

According to the map on the Starlink website, the Internet network is currently working in the territories of North America, Europe, Australia, Brazil and several other countries. In the rest of the countries, the start of network activity is scheduled for next year or is not yet clear. Such signs are also in the Antarctic regions.

P.S. Starlink is a project to create a system of satellites, the goal of which is to provide global access to high-speed Internet. The satellites are placed in an orbit with an altitude of 550 km.
