Energy saving proposals reviewed

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals for the effective use of energy resources on October 31.

The head of state instructed about this a week ago at a meeting in preparation for the autumn-winter season. On the same basis, measures were developed to save fuel and energy resources in the autumn-winter season and supply them in one go.

It is known that as the sectors of the economy develop and the standard of living improves, the demand for Energy also increases. Over the past five years, electricity consumption in our country has increased by 20%, including 31% of the population consumption. This figure is growing from 6 percent per year.

Therefore, energy production is being consistently developed, to which additional water, solar, wind power plants are being built. At the same time, the system for calculating the consumption of electricity and natural gas was also regulated. An important task now is to use this blessing in its place, appreciating and saving it.

During the presentation, officials outlined proposals in this regard. In particular, it was said that at industrial enterprises it is possible to optimize the workflow, modernize energy production technology, update and repair boiler houses, reduce natural gas and electricity by up to 10 percent due to renewable energy sources.

The head of state noted that this issue is relevant from year to year, so it is necessary to learn how to save energy in all spheres and regions. This ultimately serves to provide our people with energy resources uninterrupted and sustainable.

Today, a shortage of energy resources is felt in the world. Therefore, in many countries, measures are being taken to save energy consumption and moderate the temperature of heat in the apartments of the population.

In our Country, positive experiences are also gaining popularity in this regard. For example, in Namangan and Syrdarya regions, due to the rational use of the street lighting system, 50,000 kilowatt-hours or 14 percent of electricity are saved per week.

Therefore, officials were given the task of looking for additional energy-saving opportunities, going out into the regions.

It was noted the importance of increasing energy efficiency in institutions of the social sphere, expanding the use of solar panels.

Tasks were set to strengthen the powers of the inspection of control in electricity under the Ministry of energy and the inspection of control over the use of petroleum products and gas, to take effective measures in relation to illegal situations.
