Entrepreneurs exporting finished furniture products are supported

A presidential decree on additional measures to promote the production and export of furniture products has been adopted.

According to the decision, from February 1, 2023 to January 1, 2024:

-to cover part of the cost of renting office, retail and storage space abroad to entrepreneurs exporting finished furniture products, the non-residential space norm will be increased from 100 square metres to 250 square metres;
-when foreign specialists such as production engineer, painter or designer are hired by local enterprises with an annual income of at least 30% from the export of finished furniture products, they will receive 25% of their salaries, but not more than 9 times the minimum wage partially covered.

From 1 February 2023 to 1 January 2024, imports of raw materials, spare parts, fittings and accessories used in the production of the furniture in question will be subject to a zero rate of customs duty.

Also, the zero rate of customs duty on the importation of raw materials, spare parts, fittings and accessories into Uzbekistan stipulated by a presidential decree will be extended until 1 January 2024.
