Ferrari's Roma sports car created in honour of China

Ferrari is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the launch of a special car for China. During this time, the Italian brand has reached 21 dealers across the country. At the presentation in China, the Roma sports car produced by Tailor Made was dedicated to the Chinese market.

Designer Jiang Qiong Er, creator of the fashion brand Shang Xia, worked with factory experts on the one-of-a-kind car.

Reportedly inspired by traditional Chinese culture and ancient craftsmanship, the car's design is finished in Sanusilver Matte and Rosso Magma Glossy colours.

The lines in the saloon refer to the characteristics of classic furniture from the Ming dynasty in China. The key drawer is painted in red and gold pieces of Boluo lacquer, an ancient Chinese technique, and a plate known for its unique textured finish.

The gold and jade plate is engraved with Chinese characters to represent the number 30: in ancient Chinese culture, gold symbolised wealth and good fortune, jade symbolised purity and gentleness, and the combination of the two represented good wishes and respect.

It is noted that the car has not changed technically. It is powered by a 620 bhp 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 petrol engine mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
