Flowers are laid at the monument to the First President

Tashkent, January 30. According to tradition, a broad public gathered at the Islam Karimov Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex on this day.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the complex. He laid flowers at the foot of the monument to Islam Karimov.

The memorial of the First President was also honored by representatives of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration and the government, the figures of science and culture, the intellectuals.

To cherish the memory of the selfless sons of the nation, to honor their good works is our national value. They serve as an example and a guideline for the future generations.

Today's ceremony was also an embodiment of such high respect. The ayats from the Koran were read and dua's were recited. The historical merits of the First President for the good and interests of our nation and his noble human qualities were discussed.

The head of the state familiarized with the progress in creation of Islam Karimov museum in the complex.

Flower laying ceremonies at the monuments of Islam Karimov were also held in Samarkand and Karshi.
