Former Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi received four years in prison

A Myanmar court has filed 11 charges and sentenced former Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi to four years in prison.

On December 6, the court ruled that the ex-state adviser of Myanmar violated the law on natural disasters and state secrets, and also incited people to rallies. In addition, she was accused of corruption and numerous electoral fraud, in which her National League for Democracy (NLP) party won. Aung San Suu Kyi Alaureate of the Nobel Prize before the military coup in the country served as the prime minister.
