Franklin Templeton is interested in investing in Uzbekistan

Global investment company Franklin Templeton is interested in investing in Uzbekistan. Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held talks with Manraj Sekhon, General Director for Investments of the company.
The meeting was devoted to discussing the implementation of projects and agreements reached during the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Singapore in January this year.
One of the issues discussed was mutual support for the introduction of new mechanisms for attracting foreign investment in state-owned enterprises.
In addition, the parties agreed on the establishment of the National Investment Fund, the opening of the company's office in Tashkent by the end of April this year, as well as the placement of the Fund's shares on the Republican Stock Exchange "Toshkent". It is planned to involve large investors from the US, the EU and other countries, as well as the general population to invest in the stock market. As a result of the meeting, a "Road Map" was agreed upon and a working group was created to implement the projects and agreements reached.
