Greenhouse farm support measures set

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of additional measures aimed at supporting greenhouse farms.
This was instructed on September 5 at the past videoselector meeting on food safety.
Currently, there are more than 3 thousand greenhouses in our country. Their total area is more than 6 thousand 300 hectares, of which 4 thousand 300 hectares have been established in the last five years. Many products that ensure continuity and export of food are grown in these complexes.
But recently, restrictions on foreign markets and interruptions in transport logistics have also negatively affected this network. In particular, in the business plan of most greenhouses, the cost of 1 ton of products was calculated as an average of $ 600, in 2020 the cost was $ 900, and in 2021- $ 1 thousand 200. In some greenhouse farms, there was a debt on credit, taxes, natural gas and electricity bills.
Therefore, according to the instructions of the president, the problems in the field were studied and the proposals of entrepreneurs were heard. On their basis, a new mechanism for growing products in a greenhouse and selling it has been developed.
According to him, the horticultural and greenhouse agricultural development agency supplies seeds, seedlings, mineral fertilizers and other material resources to greenhouses, buys and exports products. The agency for quarantine and Plant Protection provides services for the care of seedlings.
At the same time, financial relief is also being determined. In particular, the term of repayment of loans allocated from international financial institutions and state target funds for greenhouse farms and refrigerated warehouses is envisaged to be extended from 7 to 14 years, and the grace period from 3 to 5 years. Loan repayment periods are adjusted to the terms of harvest and sale.
In order to stimulate the production of exportable products, it is intended to allocate bank loans in foreign currency at an annual rate of 4 percent. It is established that integrated areas for the organization of modern greenhouse and logistics centers of an industrial type will be launched into open auction sales.
The head of state approved these measures. Instructions were given to organize shopping complexes with the possibility of storing, sorting and packing fruits and vegetables, to weigh water and electrical networks for new greenhouses.
