High-income 8500 vacancies created in IT parks

On December 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was introduced the presentation of projects for the development of information and communication technologies.
As IT technologies serve for efficiency and convenience in all spheres, extensive works on this domain are in progress. To illustrate, over 100 IT schools have been introduced and more than 500 thousand youngsters have mastered programming on the project “A million programmer”.
Since the establishment of IT parks, the industry's exports have surged 50-fold to $ 40 million; the number of residents has increased from 147 to 500; more than 300 new companies have been launched and 8,500 high-income jobs have been created in IT parks.
Plans have been made to resume this work and take the industry to a new level. In particular, working with major exporters, it is planned to amplify the export of services in IT parks to $ 80 million. Additionally, it is intended to elevate the share of the digital economy in GDP and create benefits for e-services.
The presentation reviewed the proposed measures in this regard.
The President mentioned that next year there is every opportunity to boost the volume of IT services by 35% to 21 trillion UZS and advance programming services.
Instructions were given to accelerate the launch of the artificial intelligence center and simplify the procedure for attracting foreign IT specialists.
The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications has been entrusted with doubling (1.8 times) the speed of IT networks next year and deploying 1 million new broadband networks. All settlements will have access to mobile communication and broadband Internet as a result of this.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that emerging technologies must first and foremost serve people and provide convenience. More than 300 public services have been converted to electronic format in recent years, and they have been used 16 million times this year alone. The proportion of services delivered through the Single interactive state services portal will ascend to 60% next year.
Another convenience in this regard was the information about the digital profile of the passport. The Gov Pass mobile app is installed on a smartphone and contains a number of documents such as passport, diploma, employment history, driving license. That is, all the documents of citizens are always with them, on the phone which saves time and money, reduces paperwork and eliminates clutter.
The implementation of the "Safe City" system was of grand magnitude which is to fully implement by 2026.
Moreover, the head of state instructed to strengthen the financial resources for the development of the industry.
