How to support exporters?

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade held a webinar on the President's Decree "On measures to further expand financial support for export activities", existing and new ways to stimulate representatives of the sector.

The meeting brought together over two thousand entrepreneurs, top officials of the ministry, the Export Promotion Agency and local authorities. They discussed new preferences, simplification of procedures, guarantees from the State Fund for the Support of Entrepreneurship and other issues. It was noted that the Government Commission for the Development of Exports and Investments and the territorial divisions of the Republican Headquarters for the Support of Exporters and Entrepreneurs study the situation and communicate with businessmen, help to eliminate emerging difficulties.

The chairman of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan, Mukhtor Umarov, spoke about the positive aspects of the decree, the most significant problems in the sphere and their solution in partnership with the ministry and the agency. The participants also received consultations and answers to their questions.

- In the context of the global economic crisis caused by the consequences of the pandemic, further stimulation of export activities is becoming one of the most important priorities for the state. That is why the adoption of the presidential decree, the implementation of which has already begun by the ministry, we regard as a harmonious continuation of the already begun measures to assist exporters.

And the creation of the Export Support Fund will be the final element in the formation of the National Export Support System, said First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Aziz Voitov. “Today's event has shown that live communication directly with business entities makes it possible to quickly and fully convey to them the essence of the work carried out by the state.

After all, everything that our ministry does in terms of supporting business, implementing government documents, ultimately should contribute to macroeconomic stability and benefit all citizens. Speed ​​and efficiency are critical here, so we intend to develop this format of interaction with key audiences.
