Huge factory by both value and scale
On December 25, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the plant “Uzbekistan GTL” in Kashkadarya region.
This place was only a few years ago a dry desert. The giant Enterprise here in a short time, the chemical cluster has stepped up. Its construction was in the constant attention of the head of our state. The president of our country came here in 2017 and 2018 and got acquainted with the process. Even in the conditions of the pandemic of recent years, the work continued without interruption, and the plant was completed today.

The factory is enormous both in value and in scale. Its value is 3 billion 420 thousand US dollars, the area of buildings is 135 hectares. The participation of more than 13 thousand engineers and workers at the same time in the construction shows how extensive work has been done here.
Such a giant has so far been restored in only four countries of the world – Qatar, Nigeria, the Republic of South Africa and Malaysia.
The factory has installed more than 10 thousand customized equipment at nearly 130 leading enterprises in 24 countries, such as Japan, Korea, Singapore, USA, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Russia, China. 140 international licenses and patents have been obtained for the application of technological solutions, equipment and processes. Most of them are unique and unique in the world.
The plant has a capacity of 3.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, 307 thousand tons of aviakeros, 724 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 437 thousand tons of naphtha, 53 thousand tons of liquefied gas. Another such technological possibility is thatuaua can work in five modes. The more orders for which product, the more accordingly the volume of the same brand is increased.
The president gave instructions to the officials to deepen the geological exploration work and expand the stockpile of raw materials for the facilities here.
"We still have a lot of plans in this network. They need guaranteed raw materials. Previously, we found a mine-sold. Now we are trying to re-produce ourselves and bring benefit to our people. In the future, the demand for products here will increase. The world is moving to the"green economy". Therefore, using new geophysical equipment, it is necessary to deepen geological research," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
For the operation of such a huge structure, of course, a huge amount of energy is needed. The plant has restored an independent system in this regard. That is, in the process of work, 650 million kilowatt-hours of electricity is obtained per year from the steam generated. Through it, the factory provides itself with electricity. It also supplies power to the nearby Shurtan gas chemical complex and the enterprise, which is now under construction. The electricity saved by this will be directed to households and entrepreneurs.
