In Cuba, the ban on professional boxing has been lifted

The Cuban Boxing Federation has lifted a 60-year ban on professional boxing in the country.

According to ESPN, the federation lifted the ban after reaching an agreement with Golden Ring. Promotion will host a professional boxing evening on May 20 in Mexico. The show will be shown all over Latin America. The boxing night will feature boxing stars such as Julio Cesar la Cruz, Arlen Lopez, Roniel Iglesias and Andy Cruz.

P.S: The ban on professional boxing in Cuba was introduced in 1962. At the time, President Fidel Castro considered professional boxing corrupt. However, amateur boxing is well developed in the country in the meantime.
