In regions without cotton clusters, farmers can form cooperatives

In regions where there are no cotton-textile clusters, voluntary farmer cooperatives are set up on the basis of cotton-processing plants.

The main tasks of the cooperatives are:

-Organising the joint use by members of the cooperation of property complexes, machinery, equipment, vehicles and cotton-cleaning plants required for raw cotton production;

-Providing members of cooperation with agricultural equipment, fuel and lubricants, mineral fertilisers, seeds and chemical and biological protection facilities on the basis of agreements concluded between cooperatives and their members;

-Attracting exporters to cooperate with the cooperative, conducting market research in the domestic and foreign markets;

-Selling cotton fibre and secondary products produced by cooperative members on the exchange or at prices formed on the exchange, on the basis of direct contracts.
