In Ukraine, naming objects and places associated with Russia is prohibited

Ukraine has introduced a bill banning geographical names related to Russia, its history and celebrities.

"It is prohibited to give geographical objects names that glorify, immortalize, propagate or symbolically represent the invading state or its landmarks, memorable, historical and cultural sites, cities, dates, events, personalities," the statement said.

It was noted that the bill was initiated by 50 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, including the ruling People's Servant Party.
