In Uzbekistan, over the past 5 years, the number of people who own a private car has increased by 40% - State Statistics Committee

The State Statistics Committee presented data on the number of vehicles owned by the population in Uzbekistan.

As of January 1, 2021, the number of vehicles owned by individuals in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 2,955,295 units. This is 14.5 percent more than in 2020 and 40.1 percent more than in 2015.

The total number of vehicles owned by the population over the past 5 years:

In 2015 - 2 109 185

In 2016 - 2 191 231

In 2017 - 2,273,419

In 2018 - 2,440,276

In 2019 - 2,580,133

In 2020 - 2 955 295

It is noted that there were on average 50 cars per 100 households.
