Increase in salaries of medical staff

The Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to strengthen financial support and incentives for employees of medical institutions" was adopted.

According to the document, from June 1, 2022, the monthly salaries of medical, pharmaceutical and other employees of public medical institutions will be increased:

for medical and pharmaceutical workers with higher and first qualification categories - 15%;

for those with and without the second qualification category, as well as for other medical and pharmaceutical workers – 10%;

for other employees of medical institutions - by 15%.

In this case, the calculation of tariff rates for employees of medical institutions is carried out by multiplying the tariff coefficients for the current salary categories by 1.15 and 1.1 times, respectively.

Moreover, starting from July 1, 2022, doctors from the regions and the city of Tashkent, as well as from foreign countries, who will visit to Takhtakor, Chimbay, Karauzak, Bozatov, Shumanay, Kungrad districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan will be paid monthly addition of 100 percent during the first three years. In Muynak district there will be 200% additions.

In addition, from September 1, 2022, employees of medical institutions will receive up to 60% of the salary for the degree of Doctor of Science and 30% of the salary for the degree of Candidate of Science or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the expense of the state budget, taking into account their contribution to the development of science in the field of medicine and labor. Furthermore, all medical workers will receive free initial and periodic medical examinations at the expense of the state budget.
