Increasing the procurement of food products, effective organization of the spring sowing season

A videoconference is being held under the chairmanship of the President to discuss the main tasks to increase food production and effectively organize the spring field season.
Over the past two years, it has been noted that world food inflation does not fall below 15-20% per year, world prices for vegetable oil, milk and meat rose to the highest in the last 30 years, and for grain products and sugar to the highest in last 10 years.
The increase in logistics, fertilizer and fuel costs in exports and imports is also affecting food prices. According to the analysis, this situation will continue both in 2023 and in the coming years.
The allocation of 200 thousand hectares of land for food production in our country, the introduction of 500 thousand hectares of additional land into circulation helps to maintain a stable price situation in the domestic market and increase exports.
“But the growing population, the unstable situation in the world, interruptions in logistics pose even greater challenges for us to increase food,” the head of state said.
