Information was provided on the main indicators of the chemical industry

On July 7, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of the main indicators achieved in the chemical industry and planned projects.

J. Mirzamahmudov, the chairman of the board of "Uzkimyosanoat" joint-stock company, informed that based on the decision of the President of Uzbekistan on October 25, 2018, the industry has been diversified and new products have been developed. As a result, production has increased by 1.5 times and exports by 2 times in the last 3 years.

The main thing is that this industry, which previously operated with a chronic loss, ended 2021 with a net profit of 1.6 trillion soums.

In the six months of this year, the enterprises of the society produced products worth nearly 7 trillion soums, and production increased by 11 percent. Goods worth 218 million dollars were exported.

It is planned to increase production to 14 trillion soums and export to 425 million dollars by the end of the year. For this purpose, it is planned to produce 650,000 tons of nitrogen, 70,000 tons of phosphorus, 120,000 tons of potassium fertilizers and 80,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride in the second half of the year.

The head of our state emphasized the need for systematic work on increasing the efficiency of network enterprises and their transformation. It was shown that the cost can be reduced by up to 6% through energy saving and localization.

The presentation also provided information about future promising projects. As mentioned, by the end of the year, 400 million dollars will be invested and 9 projects will be launched.

The President emphasized the need to implement new projects only with the participation of private investments. The task of forming a portfolio of projects worth at least 1 billion dollars was set in 5 chemical clusters.
