International Agricultural University establishes in Tashkent

The opening ceremony of the newly established International Agricultural University was held in Tashkent on 27 September this year.
The event included the inauguration of the first academic year of the International Agricultural University, as well as the commissioning of the new headquarters and an open-air exhibition of agrotechnologies. The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and representatives of other government agencies.
The ceremony was also attended by foreign guests, including the Rector of the Royal Agricultural University from the UK, representatives of agribusiness companies, organisations supporting innovation in agriculture and many industry experts.
The International Agricultural University was established by the President of Uzbekistan on 7 May 2022. Approximately 200 students were admitted to the first course. All classes at the university are taught in English, and the programme and requirements are determined by the foreign partner university, the Royal Agricultural University.
In addition, continuing education courses for students are held at leading foreign centres, including European institutions and agro-food companies. The International Agricultural University offers programmes in agronomy, agroeconomics, agrology, biotechnology, smart agriculture, animal husbandry and food safety.
