International Institute of Food Technology and Engineering established

Presidential Decree on Measures to Establish International Institute of Food Technologies and Engineering has been adopted. The decision establishes the International Institute of Food Technologies and Engineering and provides training in English, Russian and Uzbek languages and in full-time, part-time and distance learning forms.
Also:
—The Centre for the Continuing Education of Agribusiness Entities at the Institute;
—Kokan technical school of food industry and services will also be established under the International Institute of Food Technologies and Engineering.
One of the main objectives of the institute is to train excellent technologists, skilled personnel and business leaders who develop competitive technologies, processes and networks for small and medium-sized businesses in the food industry.
From the academic year 2024/2025, the institute will introduce a dual system of undergraduate education.
In order to increase the scientific potential of the institute, a system of doctoral studies (basic doctorate (PhD) and doctoral of science (DSc) in food industry and processing will be established as of January 1, 2024.
Also, graduates who have successfully graduated from the Technical College will be admitted to the Institute on a fee-paying basis from the 2nd year through an individual interview without entrance examinations in suitable undergraduate training areas.
