It is indicated that there are additional opportunities in the Tashkent region

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals for the development of agriculture in the Tashkent region.
The region has fertile soil, a lot of water resources. With their effective use, productive orchards and vineyards can be created, intensive vegetable growing can be established, and people can be employed.
The decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 10 of this year "On additional measures to increase the incomes of the population by supporting the creation of dehkan farms" defines a number of tasks in this direction. In particular, in 2023, 9 thousand hectares of cotton and grain fields will be reduced in the Tashkent region, plots of 25 acres will be allocated to the population. This will provide jobs for more than 60 thousand people.
On behalf of the head of state, untapped opportunities in the Tashkent region were studied with the participation of specialists and additional measures were developed.
The results were reported at the presentation. Thus, the possibility of putting into circulation 62 thousand hectares of land on the territory of the region has been calculated. They will be used primarily for sowing pasture plants, growing oilseeds, legumes and fodder crops that require little water, as well as for breeding livestock.
Also, each district of the Tashkent region specializes in a particular branch, such as fruit and vegetable growing, potato growing, viticulture. It was said that, for example, in the districts of Melonaron, Tashkent, Zangiota, Parkent, Yangiyul, Kibray, it is possible to grow vegetables in an intensive way in almost 5 thousand hectares, in the districts of Bostanlik, Yangiyul, Parkent, Boka, Bekabad, Chinoz, Akkurgan, to Garden 1 thousand 300 hectares of land, in the districts of Parkent, Kibray and Piskent, to build more than 2 thousand hectares of vineyards. In the Middle Chirchik, Tashkent and Bostanlyk districts, “in-vitro” laboratories are organized and seed potatoes are grown. In general, as a result of these measures, it is planned to create more than 24 thousand jobs.
The president approved these measures and gave instructions for their implementation.
