Japan handed over a medical container to Uzbekistan

On August 1, the Japanese government handed over to Uzbekistan three scanners for computer tomography and a portable medical-diagnostic container manufactured using advanced technologies within the framework of the program of non-discriminatory assistance for economic and social development.
The equipment will be used to provide assistance to people in remote areas, as well as during natural disasters.
In June 2020, Uzbekistan and Japan signed notes of exchange to provide free aid worth 500 million yen (about 4.6 million dollars) at a time when the world was facing the crisis of coronavirus infection.
The goal of the project is to fight against the spread of infectious diseases, to strengthen the health and medical system in the country.
