Japanese businessmen invited to economic events in Uzbekistan

The sides discussed investment and trade relations between Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as prospects of implementing joint projects in metallurgical, textile and chemical industries.

On December 23, 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the chairman of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Nobuhiko Sasaki.

At the meeting, JETRO chairman expressed readiness to provide all-round support to Uzbekistan in increasing exports to Japanese market, certification of products and development of human capital. Proposals on establishing cooperation between educational and research institutes of the two countries were considered.

Vladimir Norov invited representatives of Japanese business circles to take part in economic events held in Uzbekistan, in particular in the second Tashkent investment forum.
