Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to visit Uzbekistan

The main issue of the summit is further deepening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations.

At the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state visit to our country on December 21-22 this year.

In line with the programme of the visit, top-level talks will be held to discuss topical issues of the bilateral and regional agenda.

The principal issues of the summit are to further deepen Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance, to increase the volumes of mutual trade, promote mutually beneficial industrial cooperation projects, expand cooperation in agriculture, transport and logistics, continue active interregional and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The heads of state are planning to launch a range of major joint investment projects.

A solid package of bilateral agreements on priority areas of practical cooperation is expected to be adopted following the meetings.
