Land for farming is leased to residents for 30 years

The Presidential Decree “On additional measures to increase the income of the population by supporting the creation of peasant farms” was adopted.

In accordance with the decision, an additional 20,000 hectares-a total of 100,000 hectares of arable land, cut from cotton and grain in the use of farmers and clusters, and from lands close to settlements and with good water supply – will be leased to the population in 2023 through an open electronic competition.

In this case, the arable land for a period of 30 years:

of the lands with good water supply – from 0.15 hectares to 1 hectare in Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions, from 0.30 hectares to 1 hectare in other regions, and from 0.30 hectares to 2 hectares in the Republic of Karakalpakstan;
it is rented from low – water lands-from 0.50 hectares to 1 hectare in the regions and from 0.50 hectares to 2 hectares in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
In 2022-2023, a competition was held, as an exception, even if 1 Applicant took part in the competition for the provision of arable land to the population.

In developed districts of the greenhouse, it is allowed to build light-structure greenhouses without installing heating systems on cultivated areas allocated to peasant farms.
