Large industrial enterprises in Kazakhstan impose restrictions on electricity consumption

It is reported that electricity consumption in the Unified Power System of Kazakhstan increased significantly in December. On December 7, the historical maximum consumption in the history of Kazakhstan's power system was recorded at 16,459 MW, and the total output of the country's power plants amounted to 15,203 MW.
According to sources, the deficit was covered by unplanned outflows from the Russian power system.
KEGOC's National Power Grid operated smoothly under heavy loads. Regular production shortfalls to cover power and energy needs arise due to frequent accidents and unscheduled repairs at power plants in Kazakhstan.
It is noted that to ensure the reliable operation of the Kazakhstan UPS, the system operator had to declare an "Emergency" mode in the northern, southern, as well as in the western zone of Kazakhstan's power system. Large industrial enterprises have begun to impose restrictions on electricity consumption.
