Leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkiye discuss topical issues of bilateral agenda

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.

Issues of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level on further strengthening of relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation have been considered.

Particular attention was paid to the promotion of joint investment projects and implementation of new business initiatives, participation of leading Turkish companies in the privatization of state-owned enterprises in our country.

The sides underscored the importance of continuing active humanitarian exchange, primarily in culture and education.

Preparation for the Organization of Turkic States summit to be held in Samarkand in November has been discussed. An agreement has been reached to intensify the productive dialogue within the framework of regular ministerial meetings in the Uzbekistan-Turkey-Azerbaijan format.
