Mass vaccination in Uzbekistan

On April 1, Mass vaccination of the population against coronavirus has started in Uzbekistan on April 1. At the first stage, citizens over age of 65 and medical workers who have a high risk of COVID-19 infection will receive the vaccine.

Preparations has been carried out in the polyclinics of Tashkent and regional centers. Three types of vaccines have already been delivered to Uzbekistan - AstraZeneca (manufactured in Great Britain), CoviShield (supplied from India) and the Chinese-Uzbek ZF-UZ-VAC 2001. Vaccination is voluntary. and free for choice.

The population will gradually be vaccinated. It starts in April - Tashkent, Nukus and regional centers
 May - other cities and regional centers
 from June - all vaccination clinics in all regions. There are 3,138 vaccination centers and 862 medical teams established throughout the country.
