Meeting with Rector of Turin Polytechnic University Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev

The head of the Bright Uzbekistan project met with the rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent to get acquainted with the goals, objectives, and achievements of this prestigious educational institution.

The main task of the Turin Polytechnic University is to train highly qualified specialists in the automotive, engineering and civil industries. Thanks to its extensive opportunities and the educational program adopted at the Turin Polytechnic University, located in Italy, the institution offers in-depth knowledge in such professions that are relevant in our time.

The University has extensive international partnerships with large funds such as Tempus and Erasmus Mundus, which allow implementing international scholarships. For the purpose of conducting seminars, the University cooperates with such large companies as Siemens, GM Uz, GM PT Uzbekistan, MAN, Samavto, AKFA.

The campus of the university is one of the largest in Uzbekistan, where it has educational, administrative buildings, besides a conference hall, a library, there is a specialized laboratory, a technopark, and a meteorological center. The university has created all the conditions for obtaining both theoretical and practical knowledge.

University students and alumni can be proud of great achievements in the field of polytechnics. They invented the hydrogen welding machine, the Technobot designer, the first electric car in Uzbekistan, and many others. Among the graduates there are some students who have achieved high careers in the public service by their prospectives and knowledge gained at the university. For example, Tuychiev Olimjon Alizhonovich, who graduated the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics of the University of Turin, now is in position of Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2013 he was awarded the "Shukhrat" medal for achievements in the field of science and the popularization of technical sciences, especially robotics.

The university offers great opportunities for the development of sports. An indoor sports center is in the university campus. In addition, the University of Turin has the only representative office of the Italian football club "Juventus" in Central Asia, which trains children and youngsters from 7 to 17 years old. The franchise of the football academy "Juventus" in Uzbekistan makes it possible to join the main academy in the Italian city of Turin.
