Meeting with the Advisor to the President of Italy

In Rome, Gayrat Fozilov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with Ambassador Emanuela D’Alessandro, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of Italy.
During the talks, it was noted that the political and diplomatic dialogue between the parties is developing positively. Over the past five years, bilateral trade has grown by 149.5%, reaching $ 429.8 million US in 2021.
Regular joint cultural and humanitarian events mark the successful beginning of 2022, the anniversary of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Uzbek-Italian diplomatic relations.
Both sides expressed alacrity to enrich the common agenda by further developing mutually beneficial relations between the two countries, in particular by accelerating economic, investment and technological cooperation.
Sides also agreed to take cultural and educational cooperation to a qualitatively new level and encourage the development of inter-university and scientific ties.
