Meeting with the ambassador of Argentina

On June 23, 2022, the minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to our country (his residence in Moscow), received Eduardo Antonio Juan.

At the beginning of the meeting, which began with the ceremony of credentials topshirish, V.Norov wished the Ambassador success in carrying out his diplomatic mission.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects of development of Uzbekistan-Argentina cooperation were discussed.

It was noted that the parties are ready to engage in constructive political dialogue. Proposals on expanding the contractual and legal basis of mutual relations, development of parliamentary diplomacy, holding consultations with the ministry, as well as coordination of efforts within the framework of international institutions were considered.

It was noted the importance of effective use of the potential of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere by increasing the volume of mutual trade turnover, attracting Argentine capital to the economy of Uzbekistan, concluding an agreement on protection of investments and avoidance of double taxation, organizing the visit of the delegation of Argentine businesses to our country.

The ambassador noted that Argentine companies are interested in implementing joint projects in various fields in Uzbekistan.
