Meetings of the Heads of the Organization of Turkic States

This year on November 10-11 in the city of Samarkand the meeting of the heads of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States will be held.

The event, which will be chaired by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be attended by Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.

Leaders of the International Turkic Culture Organization (TURKSOY), the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), the International Turkic Academy and the Fund of Turkic Culture and Heritage, as well as the secretariat of this multilateral structure are also expected to participate.

The agenda of the summit included issues of further development of mutually beneficial and multifaceted cooperation, including in the areas of economy, trade, investment, transport, innovation, ecology, tourism and cultural and humanitarian exchange, as well as improving the activities of the Organization, which fully meets the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

It is planned to adopt the Samarkand Declaration, as well as other important decisions and documents designed to expand practical cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States.
