Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Israeli MASHAV

On November 29 of the current year a ceremony of signing Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Agency for International Development Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel (MASHAV).

The document envisages creation of bilateral cooperation mechanism in the sphere of agriculture and water management, environmental protection, health, education and other issues of mutual interest in order to exchange experience and knowledge and strengthen human resource potential of Uzbekistan with the financial support of Israel. The organization of visits of Israeli specialists to Uzbekistan, joint seminars, conferences and trainings, exchange of information and best practices are planned.

During the event, the sides exchanged views on further enhancing bilateral trade and economic, investment, financial and technical cooperation.

The sides reached agreement on creation of Business Council between Chambers of Commerce of two countries, organization of visit of Israeli business circles to Uzbekistan with the aim of defining new directions of cooperation and active participation of Israeli companies in privatization of state assets in Uzbekistan.
