Meta wants to lay off thousands of employees

The Wall Street Journal reports, citing sources, that Meta Platforms is set to announce staff layoffs this week. It is noted that the announcement will be made on November 9 and thousands of employees will be laid off.
In total, the corporation employs more than 87,000 people. The publication does not specify exactly how many employees will be laid off, but the percentage notes that this is less than the cuts at Twitter. In November, Elon Musk laid off half of the company's employees after acquiring Twitter.
